New COC question
For those of you who changed you childs given name and requested a new COC- How long did it take to get the new one. I have been waiting 3 months for my daughters new COC and haven't heard anyting. I know they got my request and they cashed my check.

We sent the N-565 for our sons and we did a letter back stating they recieved our request and to expect the process time to be 360 days!!! Almost a year to re=print a form. amazing.

I STILL haven't done it (bad mommy, I know!) but I have been told by others to expect a year! Crazy, isn't it?!

We haven't done it and don't plan to, but I've heard from more than one reliable source that the new COCs are taking ~1year. Passports are MUCH faster!

I sent for mine in November of 2005 and received them back in about February or March of 2006. They did have to send the applications and pictures back to me once for corrections though.
BTW - I live in Indiana Diane

I sent ours end of May and received it Early July. (Detroit) Hope you get yours soon!
