Anyone "live" in Guatemala during adoption process??

I am looking into staying with my girl until the adoption process is complete. Can you please give suggestions if you have done this or PM me. I don't really know where to start looking for information.

Thanks!!

There are several people here who have done this. The first thing you would need to do is to make sure your agency and attorney will allow it. Basically, you become the foster parent to your child and are assigned as their legal guardian. Some attorneys/agencies allow fostering and others don't.

I'm sorry I don't know more, but hopefully others will respond to your post.

I'm not thinking of living there for the entire adoption, but I am thinking of fostering for the last month or so...if you all wouldn't mind PM'ing me with information on fostering as well, I would appreciate it!
