I mentioned before that we were considering adopting Celeste's bio-sibling.
After weighing things and praying, we have decided to just hold off on making any decisions about it right now.
The baby is due in December so we have some time to pray about it even more.
Just thought I'd keep y'all posted about what is going on.

Right now I am just so unsure! Being an adult is tooo hard!

That's wonderful you have some time to think about it. When I brought my daughter home in January, for the next few months I was so overwhelmed. She was needing ALL MY TIME, I was tired, but soooo excited to have her home and loving every minute. Well, just yesterday I was telling a friend how easy being a mom has become. It's like second nature. Our second daughter will be home any day and I have no doubts I can parent both with my full attention.

I'm sure the right choice will become clear for you, whatever you choose.

I know this has to be a difficult decision. You'll be in my prayers. We have talked often about 'what if' we were called about a bio sibling and I would love to say that we would adopt him/her without any hesitation, but honestly, I just don't know what we would or Could do....

Have faith, God will lead you to the right decision!!!

Cindy when we knew about Maria Jose's sibling we did the same thing. At the beginning a lot of exciting, then I realized that there was time to think and pray about it. We didn't do anything until now! I think is a great decision.

I didn't realize you are going through the EXACT same thing we are!! Even with the difference in age!
How did you finally decide to go through with it? (you can PM me about it if you don't want to discuss it on the forum) When did you find out? Did you know she was having a boy before he was born? (I can't tell from your signature if you we was already born and you don't know the date, or if he hasn't been born yet)
Sooo many things to consider!
Is Maria Jose your first child? We have Jacob (age 4.5) too... so that is weighing on our decision too, obviously.

You know I know how you are feeling and what you are going through right now.

Just focus on what you have right now and whatever is meant to be in the future will fall into place. When that happens, you will know you have made the right decision.

Thanks everyone!
We haven't closed all doors yet... so we'll see what happens in the next few weeks. Matt and I committed to focusing LOTS of prayer on our decision before we decide one way or the other. We read some great scripture last night that kept telling us to go to God with "empty hands" and ask Him to fill them with HIS will... instead of going to Him with OUR desires and asking Him to fulfill them.
