It is my turn!!! My baby is coming home! I am out!!!
I cannot stop sobbing and giggling at the same time . . finally . . . Gabrielle will come home. In 6/23 out 8/11. My angel will be coming home!!!! I recieved her referral on 11/28. The day she was born . . . There was other hold ups in her time frame. . .
I will keep praying for everyone in before me, I am so completely . . . . Please lord let all the babies come home!!! If you read through all of this . . . how did you tell the older ones? When you know, do you tell them now? Or wait until it is time for travel? I don't want to take my older ones out of school, but what chance that I can take them back to Guatemala soon? School or the trip to pick up their sister?????

Wahooo!! Congratulations!!
That would be a wonderful experience to bring your older kiddos on the pickup trip, but a difficult decision with school and all (as you know!  ) Whatever you decide, I hope you travel soon and have a wonderful trip!!

As a former teacher, your kids will learn far more during a trip to Guatemala than they will a week in school. They probably won't get to do independent study if it is the during the first 2 weeks of school that you go, but if that is the case, ask what they will be covering and make sure they take some of their work with them. I will be pulling my kids out of school for this one. I think it is just as important for the older kids to learn about their sibling's birth country as your Guatemalan child herself. Have your children read up on Guatemala, go to Guatemala, and then prepare a little report, art project, or presentation about what they learned. The experience will be invaluable!!!!! BTW, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter has the same birthday as Gabrielle, it is such a fun age. She just started to crawl TODAY and is eating like a champ. I'm so happy for you that your daughter is finally coming home.
