We found out that we were assigned to a social worker who is tough and likes to take her time doing the reports. I've heard that it can take weeks! The interview was done on August 2. I want a general idea of how long it will take to get the report. Any of you gotten stuck in Family Court. If so, for how long?

Well, I do not think we are technically "stuck" yet, but our SW interview was 7/18 and no word yet. I am really hoping we get out soon!

We were in 6 weeks. I am going to assume we had the notorious slow one. What a shocker. That seems to be a trend in our adoption world! Good luck!

I think I have the same SW. Monday we will be starting week 6 since our interviews. For some reason it seems like FC has slowed down. Is it just me or does that seem to be the direction it is going in?

We are stuck too! 7 weeks in FC & 5 weeks since interviews. Very frustrating.

Does anyone know where is the Family Court waiting list? Is anyone still keeping track of that? I'd like to see how many more of us are "stuck".

We entered FC on 7/10 and have not heard anything. We are under the impression the SWI hasn't even been done yet? C'mon!!!!!! We want our babies home!

Our social worker interviewd the Bmom on 6-19-06. We are still waiting for her to finish her report, but our agency says they are hoping that it will be done by this week or the next.

I don't know the exact date our SWI was done, but I was told it was done at the end of June. As far as I know - we are still waiting to get out of Family Court.

I'm not going to complain yet, as our timeline has gone really well so far. And with all the movement in PGN, it gives me some hope that the next step won't be horrible.

Still waiting for the SW report here also. I think she wrote it up around mid July. I try not to keep track; that's my way of dealing with it.

I am keeping all of the people waiting to get out of FC and into PGN in my thoughts and prayers. If you all do the same, maybe we'll have our prayers heard soon!

My agency just told us it's now slow and can take from 1-3 months.

Well we have been in 9 weeks and still have not had our interviews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our FC interview was on 6/16/06. We are still waiting for the SW's report.

Yep....we've also been in family court for a while. As you can see by our timeline, we were actually in and then reassigned to another social worker. After several attempts, our SWI was held on 07/18.

Yep, we are finding the Family Court is painfully slow right now. It's been at least 4-5 weeks since the SWI and we are still waiting for the report.

We were told the SW had 4 weeks to write the report, but apparently that's not the case overall. Our interviews were done on 5/12 and we were out of FC on 6/16. Not sure when she turned the actual report in, but it seemed pretty efficient.
