Congrats............ I travel with my now 4 year old all of the time and have since she was less than 1! And now I travel with her and my Guat 2 year old. (I am a single Mom so these trips are often solo.) Here are my ideas:

a little bag or special box with treats (I even sometimes tie it up with a pretty bow)

stickers

a new toy (small)

sippy cup

I really don't bring a ton of stuff............ because sometimes that seems more overwhelming. I find that constantly telling my little one(s) how great they are being and how proud I am of them really works well. They are both little adventurers so reminding them that good girls go on more trips also helps.

I know a lot of people dread travelling with young children---- but with lots of positive reinforcement and a few things to make it special I think it can be very enjoyable!!

They make a medium sized magna doodle that is the
perfect size for traveling.
It kept our daughter busy for a LONG time.
