Fuuny things kids say/do

After reading a post I got an idea for a thread about funny things our kids have said or done. I'll start. This is embarrassing...but funny. When my daughters were little they got pin worms. I told them not to mention it to anyone (you know how kids are). They didn't say a word until a month later when I was having a garage sale. My daughter started yelling from the porch overhead the garage (where the sale was) "Mom remember when you found the pinworm?" I tried to ignore her...but then she started yelling it louder and louder. Whew was that embarrasing. I don't think anyone at my garage sale bought clothing that day.

I always loved this one... my nephew was about 3 years old when my Mom, sadly, was in a nursing home. There was a man there that was in a wheel chair with one leg. While we were speaking to the nursing staff my nephew went over to the man and asked "what happened to your leg?", the man replied "it was sick so they had to take it". My nephew thought for a moment then asked "are they going to give it back when it gets better?". I still smile when I think of this story.

We were shopping the other day and walking by the "petites" department. My daughter asked what "pee-tits" were. I burst out hysterically laughing!!!!

When my youngest daughter was 4 years old, she came to me one day and said, "Mommy, there is a fish in my nose." Now, this particular daughter was always telling tall tales...so being the good Mom I am I told her "go play honey...there is NO fish in your nose."

Several days passed...and we were eating dinner. My daughter sneezed, grabbed her nose, and screamed "There is a fish in my nose, there's a fish in my nose."

So out came the flashlight and a pair of tweezers....and sure enough there WAS a small plastic fish in her nose (from the Pocahontas play set belonging to her sister).

Her statement..."I TOLD you there was a fish in my nose." LOL

And not to forget the other daughter....she is an honors student....VERY bright. A few months ago she was helping with dinner and pulled out a bag of frozen peas. She looks at me and says "what kind of peas are "pe-tight" peas?" I was like "huh??" She then read the bag again and realized it said petite peas (as in the super small ones) and laughed at herself! Now everyone at my house calls them 'pe-tight' peas!!!

Petite must be a tricky word for all ages!

OK, the first part of his story is not funny. My dear friend's 19 year old nephew, David, is very sick and is in the hospital. I was discussing this (as much as I could without being too scary) with my 3 1/2 yr old son. He had lots of questions (is he a big boy or a little boy, do we need to pray for him, is he staying in the hosptital, etc.)
Well, after talking about this for a few minutes, and knowing that the young man's name is David, my son very seriously asks me "Is he a shepherd?" --- I guess he has been listening to those Bible stories after all.

My daughter was on a little-girl cheerleading squad. The coach, in preparation of her wedding, got breast implants. The day the coach returned to practice, my daughter took one look at her and said, very loudly, "Wow, she must be a W-D-40" I spent the rest of practice in my car. (Note:WD 40 is a spray lubricant, not a bra size)
