Well, I still have not heard anything from our agency . They receive a report every Friday evening from their attorney's indicating what's going on in each file. I finally emailed them and told them that if we're not on "the list" for this week with some news, I would like a copy of the receipt for submission to PGN. I was holding off on doing this, because I really do trust our agency, but I just feel like I've had enough, and want some kind of verification that we are actually in, and that we've been there since they told us, which is 06/23/06. I am hoping and praying to hear something this week!!!

Good for you. I hope you are able to get it to ease your mind. In my experience, our agency just took our attorney at his word that things were done (DNA, in PGN, resubmitted, BC requested, etc.) and our attorney was not always so honest about what was acutally done and what he intended to do. (Ok, he lied.) Not saying this is the case in your situation, but it is nice to have verification.

You need to look out for yourself and your child! I was told by someone in our agency's office that we had already been resubmitted on July 24th - but when I called, they got a copy of the receipt and we really weren't submitted until July 26th.

I think that when they are conversing with Guatemala - the contact may assume that the item may be submitted the next day and then delays occur. We had so many miscommunications during the dna authorization because, I think, the contact would assume that she would get to the embassy the next day...and then was not able to get through the line and get the items to the window.
