Our daughter's birthname was Patricia; our last name is Patrick. Since Patricia is just the feminine form of Patrick, we felt her new last name was enough of a tie to her birthname. We chose her first name of Susanna - and found out later that it's the same name as her foster mother. It's nice to know that what she will be named incorporates our name, the name her birthmother gave her, and her foster mothers name. We didn't plan it that way, but it was a neat surprise.

dear Wife and I have picked out a new first name but have been deciding between giving her my wifes middle name as her middle name or using her birth first name as her middle name.

GIMME A "P" GIMME AN "I" GIMME A "N" GIMME A "K"!! WOOHOOOOOOOappointment: monday the 5th!!!!! MALEA IS COMING HOME!!!!!

I only voted for one kiddo because I couldn't find an option for Baby Girl.
We used her bmom's name as part of her name and didn't use her given name (don't know who named her).

Our daughter was named Eva Rosmeri at birth.
When we got the call for her referral, the guy at our agency said "her name is Ava Rosmarie". I asked him to spell and he spelled "Eva Rosmeri". He said the facilitator kept saying it as Ava. Sooo, we decided to use Ava Marie. Marie was my Mom's name. We lost her to cancer in 2004 and I know that she's Ava's special angel. It's also my middle name. God bless, Lisa

Little man's birthname was added into his adopitve name. They kept the middle name, changed his second middle name, and changed his first name.
