Unfortunately, it is slow going in Atlanta right now. It took us four months after application (2 1/2 months after submitting homestudy) to receive our 171-H. Hopefully things have started speeding up!

I live in Atlanta, and heard right now they are at 8-9 weeks after homestudy and fingerprints...

April Our 2nd beautiful girl: 9/12/07-Submit application to agency 9/22/07- Updated homestudy 10/30/07-updated fingerprints 12/21/07-got a call about baby girl in Guatemala(we were on the wait list for girl in Vietnam) 12/26/07-signed POA for little girl in Guatemala..here we go again Guatemala!! 12/27/07- received I-797 12/27/07-POA registered 2/11/08-Registered at CA 2/29/08-Family Court 4/22/08-DNA done 4/23/08- Out of Family Court Waiting on PA!!! 5/2/08- PA..Praise God!!! Now come on PGN 5/19/08- IN PGN!!! 6/18/08-BMI 8/18/08- Out of PGN...PRAISE GOD!!!!  9/26/08-Birth Certificate...after 6 long weeks, we finally got it...(Renap)..thank you Lord!! 9/29/08-Orange DNA-9/30/08 Pink-10/8/08 Embassy appointment-10/14/08 Home-10/16/08  Our first beautiful daughter: 10/24/06- Our sweet girl is born in Guatemala!!! 3/24/07 Pick-up Trip 3/27/07 Embassy appointment 3/29/07 Home Forever  Our baby girl is home...Praise God!!

I think I met you last year at the Marriott while we were there visiting our daughter. I remember an absolutely adorable little guy named Ryker...how many adorable Rykers could there be?? Are you adopting another child? How fabulous! God bless, Lisa

we were in guatemala last week taking a spanish class and today(monday) when we got all of our mail we finally got our I797 (I171)! we probably received it on friday. so for those of you wondering about timelines, here is ours.
janis 3/24/06- atlanta cis received I600a 4/13/06 fingerprints taken 5/18/06 cis received homestudy 8/04/06 we received our I797
