Interesting - and somewhat comical - comment
We were at the lake this weekend with many families from our church. We go on this retreat every year and there are college interns who are there to watch/play with the kids at night so that parents can have worship and devotional time.
The first day we were there, we are spending time getting to know these college kids. One of the first college-age girls to come over to greet us said... "So, are your kids siblings in real life?" I explained that they were not biologically related but they were indeed siblings. She walked away and I almost burst out laughing! We do actually live in "Make Believe Land" with Prince Jacob and Princess Celeste...with trees that grow money and a yard full of candy flowers...

Cindy,
That is terrible, but I have to admit, I could see me or one of my friends saying something that idiotic when we were teenagers. We were just clueless about life and the way to say things back then. She probably meant, Are they biologically related, but was too ignorant to say the right words. Isn't it amazing, those same teenagers are the ones that think they know more than adults and everyone else!?!?

I actually think that's kind of cute. It reminds of when my stepdaughter, 16 at the time, asked me if the new baby would call me Beth or Mom. As my stepkid, it was always natural for her to call me by my name, so I guess the concept of her new sister calling me "Mom" was a bit too much for her to grasp!

hehehe....I work with teenagers every day, so that was especially funny to me! Like your kids are just pretending to be siblings in public.
