I have several, but use two the most--
The enfamil one is the one I take for daily daycare use--its functional and I'm not too worried about it getting dirty, etc if I have to take home pukey or worse clothes.

The one I LOVE is a Columbia brand backpack that we registered for so hubby would have a manly bag. It is the one that goes with us everywhere. It has comfy straps as well as a handle to carry it. The main part of the back can hold lots of extra clothes, burp rags, etc and has a built in pouch for wipes and come with a changing pad. There are two side pockets--one for diapers and associated items, and one that is lined with the foil inside to keep bottles warm or cold. It also has latches for paci and or keys. Very durable.

I never use the pretty and roomy one I registered for unless we're going on a weekend trip, and then, its just for overflow. I still take the backpack.

Yes! In addition to the three diaper bags I purchased, we got both the Similac and Enfamil bags because our neighbor works for a hospital an he brought them home for us. They're simple, plain black, so if you don't like the cutesy pie stuff, these are perfect. And the ice packs are really handy. Plus, they came with all kinds of samples, coupons, and baby info. Much of it is for nursing and newborns, but still -- neat stuff.

I have MANY!!

With two two year old we have TONS!!! Everything from Cute little Dora ones for Church to the big dog we take to daycare.

My Favorite, the one I take on every pick-up trip!!! A Lands End Backpack Diaper bag! It has everything and tons of room you can also have your name/initals put on it....

Works great in an airport, baby on the front gear on the back!!

Shelly,

How do you get the bag from Similac or Enfamil? I was ticked to see it had to be redeemed at the hospital and didn't know you could get it sent to you.

I'm looking into the One Step Ahead Backpack Diaper Bag. Looks great, and manly enough for my hubby to use if necessary.

My only concern is that it will exceed the size limits as a lap bag on the airlines. We'll each take one carry on and then we'll also have the diaper bag and another small tote. Hopefully it will work out!

With my son, I started out with the Land's End diaper bag --- it was 10 years ago & I don't see the same one on their site anymore. I LOVED it. I liked that it had the large middle compartment w/ lots of pockets inside & out. I liked that I could put pacifiers, small toys & other small stuff in the outside pockets & get to them without having to access the main compartment. I would use it for church or all day outings. For church, I would put my bible & songbook, wallet & keys in there & only have to carry one bag. I also liked that they weren't cutesy.

I also had a smaller one for quick outings & when he got older.

I have a Coach one that is large (5177). You can find them on Ebay. For a smaller bag I have the Skip Hop duo. It is a great size. Inbetween a stroller bag and a large diaper bag. The handle is long and will fit over a stroller handle.

Keep in mind that I am a first time parent and have no idea about functionality, these are just ones I like purely for fashion reasons I had to have and begged DH for one as it is one of the few things we bought new, or so Ebay says, but I love the Petunia Picklebottom bags. I searched and searched for the Cucumber Roll boxy backpack and finally found it. I have no idea if it will be good but darn it, it is too cute! Ebay also has the cutest toile monogrammed diaper bags and I got a cute one that is brown with pink polka dots off there too! Then yesterday I found an Enfamil Peter Rabbit bag for $3.00 at a consignment shop and got it for our trip and so far during my packing seems like it will work perfectly. I thought it would be a good daycare bag as well.

I went to Bath & Body Works today to pick up some gifts for some girlfriends and they have these "cargo bags" that are $20 with any $20 purchase. They're the size of a weekend carry-on bag with LOTS of pockets & storage space. Even though my previous post says that I already have 3 - I decided to get one more! It's actually more practical for our visit trip next week!! If I use it for work, that's okay too!!

I've been thinking about this thread today ~ pitifal, I know... But, what I like about my smaller bag is the longer straps that you can carry on your shoulder... Also, make sure whatever you buy either fits in the basket or hangs over the handles of your stroller ~ a must at the mall!

Finally, Coach has wristlets that hook into their purses and diaper bags.. They are like a large change purse.. You can keep your money, driver's license, and credit cards in it. If you aren't carrying your diaper bag, you can just unclip the wristlet and have everything you need with you ~ if only they'd make it big enough to hold a cell phone! ;-) Also, when you are carrying your bag, it's easy to just pull the wristlet ~ still connected ~ out of the bag to pay for your purchase or whatever. No digging to find your wallet in the bottom of the diaper bag underneath of the wipes, lotion, and bibs!

Like whereintheworld, I have a backpack (the Eddie Bauer backpack diaper bag - from the store NOT from Babies R Us - as those are smaller). The backpack was great when he was smaller and needed more gear. It hung nicely on the back of the stroller for my nanny (it was a nanny share so she was mobile - picking up the other kids from school and going to the one of the other houses). Now I use a small Guatemalan purse (big enough for a few diapers, wipes, some small toys, and snacks/sippee cup).

I contacted the companies through their websites and they mailed them to my home.
