I am Lisa from Ohio. I am 34 years old and married for 15 years this September to Frank. I am a stay at home mom for the past 7 years. I baby sit my nieces from home and the neighbor kids. Hubby and I have 2 bio children. A daughter 11 and a son 8. We are adopting Sophia who is going to be 7 months old on the 30th of July. We are supposed to enter PGN this week. And I have a very dear friend Mindy who I met on this forum. Little did we know we are neighbors...

I'm Daphne, a Christian, and we live in NC. I'm a SAHM (of 7 months) and a military wife. I recently gratuated college earning B.S. in Accounting. I had planned to begin working on a Master's in Accountany and Financial Management, but all that money is now going towards adoption My husband has 3 bio kids (15,13,8) and then we have our 2 daughter's through adoption.

Our oldest daughter has been home since January and will be 1 on August 9th. Her adoption was painless and easy - lasting less than 4 months from referral to Embassy. Our second daughter is 6 months old and we had DNA trouble then PGN troubles - so it hasn't been as easy. I LOVE being a mommy and wouldn't trade it for the world.

My husband wants me to stay off the on-line forums, but he doesn't understand all the support we get and give on here Take care!

Hello. I am Mandy and I am a forum addict. I am 28 years old, married for 8 years, have 3 kids (2 boys, 1 girl 7,4 & 3), live in WI, and go to college full time for Elementary Education with a minor in Communication in which I am almost finished and will be moving onto my Masters degree in administration. I like candlelit dinners, long walks in the woods, and cow tipping. Oh, and cheese.

We accepted our referral the end of May. She was born in January. Her name is Addyson.

Hi, I'm Amy (30) and have been married for 17 months to my wonderful husband Ben (21). We live in Texas and are hoping to start an adoption soon! We have two furbabies that we ADORE! Both, we think, are chow mixes, but we adopted them too, so we don't really know! Our oldest, Aries, is 14 months and the baby is 7 months.

And I'll also add that I'm originally from WI too! We have the best cheese and I promise, happy cows come from WISCONSIN!! lol

My husband Jim and I have been married for 7 years and we have a beautiful 3 year old bio daughter and our adorable Guatemalan princess came home on 12/29/05, she'll turn 2 in October. We live in Southern Maryland.

I'm Julie, 35 and married to my handsome DH (Dan) for 10 years this fall. We live in the Buffalo, NY area and I'm a teacher and my DH works for the US Government. I'm very thankful for my summer vacation this year!!

After years of infertility, we decided adoption is the best way to make our family complete. Our baby girl, Elisabeth, will be 9 months during our visit trip next month. We accepted her referral within days of her birth and have been in PGN since 4/28 with 2 kick-outs.

This forum has taught me patience beyond measure and I don't know what I'd do without it!!



PS - I'm one of the MANY who thinks Chris Daughtry should have won American Idol and his version of "A Little Less Conversation" is my ringtone because of that!!!

Hi! I'm Jennifer, 34 (really?) SAHM and my dh is Barry, who is 40. I live in Souderton, Pa (40 miles north of Philly). We have one son, Antonio. He was 2 in May and home from Guatemala for 16 months.
We received a suprise call from our agency in January that he had a biological sister born in Guatemala, so we immediately accepted that referral, child unseen and completely zero information. We didn't care- we wanted her!
In my previous life, I was a social worker for the county child welfare system, working with "ungovernable" adolescents. I have recently started working out of the home for a travel agent-and have been working hard at getting people good pricing for their trips. Other than that, I love to act, sing, dance, watch movies, read books, eat ice cream (oh, maybe why I have gained 15 pounds since I"ve been a SAHM??!!)

I'm Lisa, 38 and we live in WV. I am adopted. My husband and I have been married for 8 yrs. Last year we lost twins and another pregnancy by miscarriage. But I'm so very happy that God lead us to our precious little girl, who turned 8 months on the 15th. Please pray for us - we've been trying to get DNA for 6 weeks now and I'm being told the birthmom can't make it in due to work.

I'm Rachel from Lubbock, TX. I've been married to Scott for 5 years. We are adopting two children from two countries at once. They are:
Jayden (Guatemala) 8 months, 26 pounds and all boy!
Lillian (Liberia) 7 years and very tiny.

We've been in PGN almost a month with Jayden and Lillian's dossier was just submitted. Hoping against hope for a quick trip through PGN with Jayden and expecting that Lillian might be ready for pickup in October or November.
