Inquiring about Pre-approval
I was hoping to get the email for the US Embassy to inquire about our pre-approval. DNA was taken May 9 and we wanted to ask about it.

I emailed friday and heard by the end of the day. Way to go embassy! (and my response was favorable! our PA had been picked up Tuesday!) Good luck!

FYI - when I wrote I included the baby's name and DOB, the birth mothers name, and the date DNA was tekan. They wrote me back within 24 hours.

I just sent an inquiry today, as our baby's DNA was taken 6/5 and we haven't heard anything yet about PA. I'll let you guys know if I hear anything. Let me know if anyone else gets a reply also. Thanks.

I was told by our agency that PA takes about 6-7 weeks from DNA. (Ours was just done on July 7th...so still a good wait ahead of us) I agree that if you've waited longer contact them! Good luck!

PA (for the most part) has been moving much quicker than 6-7 weeks. (for those of you who have been waiting a long time - I'm sorry!!)
Mine just took about a week and a half. Once you hit the 30 day mark, I'd be emailing the embassy. I found out last week that we were issued PA on July 3rd, but I never received the email. Good Luck to all Kim

We also had DNA taken on May 9th. We are adopting Twins and we just received preapproval for one of them yesterday and we were knocked out for information on the 2nd one. I have emailed the US Embassy several times and I get a response back within hours. They have been really good on their responses. We had been knocked out and I didn't know until I wrote them.
