I have a ? What are we going to call this current "mess" as opposed to "Hague"?
In 2003 it was/is referred to as the "Hague mess" What are we going to call the mess we are in now? Any votes as to what it might be? The 2006 slowdown? Barrios mess? 2006 PGN He**? Anyone have a good name for this sad and slow time we are all going through? It is turning into a big mess isnt it?

I think something with black hole would be good. Here is wikipedia's def of a black hole. Sounds like PGN to me:
A black hole is a concentration of mass whose gravitational field is so strong that nothing can escape. Black holes are predicted by general relativity. Under the description provided by general relativity, as an object moves closer to a black hole, the energy required for it to escape continues to increase until it becomes infinite at the event horizon, the surface beyond which escape is impossible. Can't get any closer to PGN than that!

Does anyone know if there have been any other slow times like this, or similar to this? (Other than the hague mess)

In the one year I've been on the message boards, I've never seen PGN this bad. I wonder if it's been this bad since the Hague?
I like BBH (Barrios Black Hole) for a name.

I've been on the boards since Fall 2002 and besides the Hague it hasn't been this bad. But, I do always say if it isn't the Embassy holding cases up, it is PGN. There is always something going on!!!!

I agree with Steph. It seems that one part is always having delays---either PGN or the Embassy. Last fall, we had a short stay in PGN, but the Embassy was VERY slow with preapprovals. We waited 7 weeks and now PAs are coming very quickly. Wouldn't it be great if every stage of the process was done in a timely manner??
