mis-spelling on dna results: should I be worried about this as a possible KO?

Hello my experienced forum friends-
My DNA results- the authenticated version for the dossier and PGN- has my husbands name at the very top mis-spelled. There were errors on the first results, and the lab was notified and issued another report. They fixed the birthmother anme error, but didn't fix my husbands name error. (His name is Barry and they wrote "Barny".

Has anyone ever been KO'd due to the DNA results? Should I be worried about this? Do they even care about our names on that form? I don't feel like having them do another one, since they ALREADY did a second one and didn't fix his name either time. But believe you me, I'll be spitting nails if we get a KO over the matter! Thanks for alleviating my worries....or making them worse....haha!

I would suggest re-doing the name affidavit that has to list all the ways that your names have ever been written etc. Or just add an addendum to have your attorney add it to the dossier.

Good luck, I hope it all works out for you!
Maura.

I have no idea....but I would think that it could cause a potential problem. PGN and their antics lately have been crazy and who knows what they will KO people out for next. I would hate to see you get prolonged in PGN for something that could possibly be fixed now. HOW FRUSTRATING though.

Hugs

Hi Jennifer,

This "could" definitely cause problems. I had to have a similar error fixed on the DNA results for my daughter and it caused a delay. I would recommend going ahead and preparing another name affadavit listing this as a name your husband was known by while you are waiting to hear from your social worker.

Personally, no matter what the social worker says I would encourage (nicely press the issue) about getting this fixed or at least submitting a new name affadavit. I didn't push the issue with my agency when I noticed it as they said it was all taken care of and fixed. Well, guess what???? They didn't fix it because they thought it would go through and it didn't.

Try not to worry too much though as this is usually a pretty easy fix.

Patty

I too would submit another name affidavit.......at least this way you are covered. We got kicked out of PGN last year because my name appeared on a Guatemalan generated form and it wasn't on my name affidavit......we lost almost 2 weeks with the kickout.......

Jen,

I'm not sure, but I just wanted to say "F*&K!!!!!" We are the bad luck duo. The name affadavit thing might be a good idea.

Just make sure you start calling Barry, Barny from now on. HAHAHAHA
