The Princesa Turns TWO!!!
I cannot believe that one year has passed already! A year ago we received Sarah on her 1st birthday. It was a bittersweet day because seeing the grief that both Sarah and her birth family went through was very hard and it was wonderful to finally be able to hold our baby girl after almost a 1 year process and know that we were taking her home.
DH bought a cake at the grocery store and I had brought down a candle and a few presents. The cake was not too tasty--no temptation there!!LOL One year ago we were installed at the Marriot while we waited for our pink slip to be issued. We got it on July 20th and flew home on the 21st of July. Here are some pictures of Sarah a year ago.

We were at the cabin for Sarah's 2nd birthday on July 9th, so I am a little late in posting her birthday party pictures.
We had two parties for her because we were going to be gone and DH's parents wanted to celebrate with us. I made lunch and a Hello Kitty cake for the prebirthday party the day before we left. I decided to make a "Hello Kitty" cake because Sarah really is into cats these days and if you say the word cat or kitty, she starts meowing! She also meows if I say that auntie or uncle is coming over or we are going to their house because they have two cats. The cake was chocolate so it was hard to keep the white frosting from being peppered with chocolate cake crumbs! We had two low key parties and Sarah enjoyed herself--especially blowing out the candles! She wanted us to light them again and again, and since we wanted a picture of her blowing them out, we obliged her! LOL She liked opening presents until she pulled the tissue paper out of a bag containing a pink poodle dog puppet which my MIL and FIL gave her! That dog puppet really creeped her out and she ran to me crying, "No, no, no!!!" After that she was afraid to open any more bags. Even the little "Hello Kitty" doll that I got her made her afraid! She has since made peace with Hello Kitty but I put the dog puppet away! Here are pics of her first party.

We did not have a celebration on her actual birthday, although we were celebrating it in our hearts, but on the day after her BD my sister and niece joined us at the cabin.
I had frozen the cake to make another Hello Kitty cake and I frosted it with whipping cream this time. I forgot to bring candles so a couple of wooden matches had to do! Sarah had just as much fun blowing those out as the candles! Sarah is such a blessing in our lives. She brightens every day and keeps us laughing at her cute little ways. She has a pretty large vocabulary and is starting to put two words together to tell us what she wants. If she wants to talk in sentences she just adds a bunch of Sarah jibberish intersperced with her words. Of course Sam understands her perfectly!! LOL Thanks for sharing our joy!

Happy 2nd Birthday Sarah! She is such a cutie.. I remember seeing her pictures while we were still waiting for Bryce and thinking how beautiful she is! Sam is getting so big too! What a handsome fella!

I remember those first pictures like it was yesterday. Can you believe it's already been a year?!?! Wow how that time flies! Both Sarah and Sam look wonderful. Looks like they are thriving mom. Congratulations on birthday number 2!

Well, then...Happy Birthday Miss Sarah!! You've certainly grown up, too!! (Isn't it hard to believe our BABIES are two, Rox!!???) Great pix...I LOVE her dress...very stylish and sweet!! Sam has grown miles too...what are you feeding that boy!!?? LOL! Congrats on your ONE YEAR milestone....trust me, from here it just gets sweeter.... Love to all, Jen and Addison Grace!
