Okay.. Now I am officially losing it! I am starting to worry over tiny things (I have never in my life been anal-retentive, or paranoid until NOW)!!!! Someone on the Guatadpot server was discussing proper atire for Guatemala. It was mentioned that you should not wear sleaveless tops or shorts! WELL, in our dossier pictures, I am wearing both! What is worse I thought it would be nice to put in a wedding photo, and low and behold my dress is strapless! I just wanted to show our "Happy Family"!! Neither my adoption agent, or the Lawyer has said anything about it, so I guess it is okay. We are just about to go into PGN, and I do not want ANYTHING holding us back. I have already had more disappointments than I can bear in the baby department.

So I emailed my agent asking if that was something that would hold us up, and NOW I am afraid that we are going to have to mail more pictures, and THAT will hold us up.

Have I lost it yet?

Dont worry about that one. Lord knows what I was even wearing in my photos. Never gave it a thought. And with our son, we were kicked out for anything and everything, but not that. It will be fine. I have never ever heard of anyone getting KO'd for photos.

Everyone where's shorts and tank tops down there. Don't worry about your pictures one bit!!! I swear. I think it's funny the things we stress about though... I've had a lot of crazy stuff go through my head lately...

I completely understand your reaction. Sometimes during this process you just stress over little things because we are so afraid of PGN. I think you will be alright, I have heard many people say that shorts and sleevless tops are OK.

I made an effort to have pictures with more covered type of clothing but I really think it will not hold you back. I hope you are out soon. Anna

I've read that article on Guatadopt too! I spent the entire week last week shopping for our family portriat wardrobe. Then, I had the same thought/fear/parinoia midway through our family photo session on Saturday- when I realized that having my 4 year old barefoot might not be the best idea- no matter how cute I think it looks (and how NONE of his dress shoes fit and his sneakers looked stupid with the outfit). Of course,he's also wearing shorts- albeit longer,bermuda-style ones, but still. . . I actually thought about running to the shoe store in the same mall as the photo studio and getting him a pair- But then my husband would have killed me (or left) and there'd be no family to take pics of. Sometimes I swear I'm more freaked out about the tiniest details of the adoption than I was about the major issues when I was pregnant! Best of luck. . .

Try not to stress. I think they mean that you should just dress appropriately while in Guatemala visiting your baby. You want to give everyonein Guatemala the best impression as possible of their American visitors. Just don't walk around the hotel in Guatemala with shorts and bare feet!

I worried because I realized after I sent mine that one of my pics with an old boyfriend was taken in the bar of a restaurant and you can see part of the Bud Light sign in the back . If I wasn't kicked out for that then you'll be fine. Good Luck

Well, it looks like you've already gotten your answers, but I just had to say that this post made me laugh. Not at you -- with you! We're home with our baby and all is well, but I'm so glad I never thought about our clothing in the photos -- I would have panicked, too! (strapless wedding dress, sleeveless dresses at DH's kids' graduations, etc.) The only thing our agency asked was that we not include photos of pets.

So there is ANOTHER Rule I broke! We have a christmas picture with my stepsons, and our 3 DOGS!!!! Next thing I know you guys are going to say no pictures from Disney World, or no pictures with funny antlers on your head!!!! LOL! They are small dogs maybe they won't see them. See, they are harmless.

I was worred becasue my husband is a K9 Deputy and therefore our dog is an attack/tracking/drug dog. I made sure to send apicture of Alec cuddled up to the dog in our pictures. I sent probably 30 or 40 pictures total. You will be fine. I have NEVER heard of anyone getting a KO becasue of apicture or declined becasue of a picture.
