Hi, everyone. I haven't seen a spring beginners thread for awhile (either that or I missed it). How is everyone doing? We are anxiously waiting for our referral. On Friday we were told probably in a few days...........so I guess it will possibly be at any time. I'm just sooooooo excited!!!! Can't wait to hear how you are doing?

We are still waiting on DNA. Just hanging out, passing the time by staying busy here at home.

We are waiting for a couple documents in our dossier to be redone. Turns out the notary name didn't match the name the state certified it as...the others weren't notarized directly on the document and we're redoing them along with the other just to be safe.

Once this is done, DNA authorization can be requested. At least that's what we were told...

We are waiting too...to get out of FC! We will make our first visit trip in 2 weeks, can't wait!!

We are a spring beginner! We filed the I600A yesterday, and are having prints done on Friday. Friday we are also having our medical updated, AND we are having documents sent out for certification. We really slacked with paperchasing. lol.

We are waiting on our family court interviews and PA......we are also waiting to receive confirmation that our visit trip dates (2nd week of July) are alright......

I hope we all get good news very, very soon!

A lot of people are in line for a referral at my agency. I have about 6 ahead of me and 3-4 that could jump ahead of me if they get I-171-H earlier than expected because you are on the list by dossier completion date.

Referrals are being handed out though. Two people got a girl and one got a boy Sunday.

Hi everyone! We entered Family Court yesterday, 7/10, and are preparing for DNA testing. We can't wait for DNA to come back a match so we can go visit! I hope everyone has great news soon!

Our dossier is finally complete. We are waiting on our 171h, we were just fingerprinted on July1 and they say 5-6 weeks to receive it. Then we can get a referral. Yeah!!

Good moring Spring beginners! It is good to hear from everyone. We are waiting on our I171-H and then we should get a referral of a little baby boy fairly quickly I hope!

We got our referral last Wednesday. We're still on cloud nine! I am waiting for my husband and my birth certificates to come back from the Guatemlan consulates offices in San Francisco and Washington DC where they are being authenticated. I'm also expecting our I-171H from USCIS; it should arrive any day now! We already certified and authenticated our POA, witness affidavits and other dossier documents. I hadn't expected a referral before having the dossier and I-171H in hand, but the agency had a child available and we were next up - so lucky us!

We are waiting on Pre-Approval (oh wait - I have an email - let me go check.....nope...not from the Embassy )

I found out on Friday that our SWI has already been done (didn't know we were even in Family Court) and our attorney expects us to be out of Family Court this week.

We are planning on a visit trip at the end of August.

STILL aiting on the stupid (grrr) 171H to arrive!! We're at 10 weeks and still no answer. No referral yet, either.

Although, the time is going pretty fast b/c I'm a teacher out for the summer and we all know summers fly by....

We are awaiting I-171-H as well (fingerprinted June 29th). We also have already certified and authenticated our POA, witness affidavits and other dossier documents (I guess I could have just blocked and copied Pipercub's entry) and they are with the translator. I keep wondering/second guessing myself if I did the right thing by accepting a referral before I-171-H was in hand, but now that I have seen him there is no turning back!!
