How Long Is It Taking To Adopt

Hello, How long is it taking for an adoption once all of your documents are in Guatemala and in Family Court. I have adopted before and know that no two cases are alike, but just wondered if it is still averaging 4-6 months once everything is in Guatemala like in the past?

Thanks

My agency is now telling people 6-8 months average because of the slowdown in PGN.

It seems more like 7-9 months for most people, although some seem to get out in 6, just as many probably go over 9.

We Just received our referral and we asked our agency if there was a chance that we would have the baby home by Christmas. She said by the skin of our teeth maybe.

I believe that 6-8 is a better guess now. There are still cases getting out in 4-6...but they are getting fewer and fewer due to the delays in PGN.
