PGN internal time info
Just want to add an interesting bit of information.
We received a copy of our PGN decree yesterday after we were notified that we were out. ( thankyou to our agency) The decree was issued on May 22nd! It obviously sat waiting for the big mans signature for a month! Zazzi

That's painful. Our last adoption it only took 8 days to get out after being approved... not nearly as long as now

That's weird, the date on ours was May 17, 2006 (we went into PGN 5/15/06). So that is how long it took for him to sign off after it was sitting for almost 2 months??? WOW!

According to Shay's post yesterday, could the computer entry person also have a factor? She said there were tons of files stacked on the computer entry person's desk that had already been signed off on. As I understood it, the case had to be entered into the computer before it was officially "out".

Okay, so assuming that we are all thinking of this right, does that mean that the computer person's vacation time may be being a contributing factor also in the slow outs?

I just looked back at our PGN decree and ours was signed off on January 20, 2006, but we didn't get out of PGN until two weeks later on February 3, 2006.

Ours was approved on April 6th, but we didn't get out until May 17th. So frustrating...

Our file was approved on April 11th, 4 days after it was enterend into PGN, but wasn't signed off until May 12th!!! Ugh, I was really upset when I saw that, but what can you do.

My last two cases were both over 4 weeks from when they were approved to when the Director signed. Frustrating....

But the adoption is not complete until the director signs off and he can reject and refuse to sign and there are cases that are not done because of that... So...you are not really out until you have all the signatures including the birth mom's.
