Anybody have any others news to share?

Last week was really slow .. PGN seemed to be at almost a standstill again.... But PGN spurts seem to happen every other week.. If this theory is right, then we're looking forward to a great week!
Keeping my hopes high for this week!

The last few days have been tough for me.. Just missing the kiddos and sick of all this PGN stuff..

Today, I decided to switch the baby room with our room. The kiddos can sure use the extra room.. It was pretty cramped in that tiny nursery with 2 cribs.. So we'll live in the cramped little room for a while.. No biggie since we building a master bedroom downstairs. .. Now, I've got to move all the furniture out of both bedrooms, paint, and redecorate.. At least it will keep me occupied for a while!



Anybody have any updates??

I've been absent for awhile because of the last few weeks of school and then I was in Italy for a few weeks. Anyway, we FINALLY had our DNA done on June 14 and got the results Friday!! I think we are in PGN, but I"m not 100% sure. I think my agency may have already submitted, or they are waiting for the official DNA results to arrive. Either way, I'm happy to finally be done with the whole DNA fiasco.

It's good to see some cases moving through PGN, even if it is only a few. I hope you all hear some good news this week!!

I found out last week that we're in PGN - FINALLY! I'm working on Lucia's room too. Let's hope it brings us good luck!

Hi everyone,
Today is a week since we've been back from our visit. And boy do we miss her. We had a great time. She is such a little sweetheart. She held on to me and said no when I tried to give her back to the foster mom. That killed me. I know I have a long wait in PGN since I just got in, but I hope to see some outs for others.
Hope to see lots of movement this week for everyone in all stages of the process.

Hi Myrna!! Sounds like you are definitely going to be busy for a while . We have our little boy's room done and haven't quite started the one for our little girl. Once we got the first one done there really was nothing to do except sit and wait... and wait... . Time for your Twinkies to get OUT !

Kathy (kandesmurphy) - How are you guys doing - any news on DNA?

We have no word on PA. DNA took > 100 days and we are about to 60 on PA. We've been out of PGN for over 4 months because of no PA and we're not sure how long it will be once we get back in. Very frustrating. On our second adoption, we are getting close with the paper chase. We had our HS visit las Friday . That and new medicals will wrap it up .

Good Sunday fellow FAll people ----- and the visitors

We have absolutly no news. I know, I know --- BIG SHOCKER!!!!! Try to close your mouths now people!
The girls turned 17 weeks old this past Friday. This means that we SHOULD --- read, won't --- be getting updated pictures and possibly medicals this week.
On the bright side ------- JAY IS COMING HOME THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is before Friday but after Monday!!!
So, here is to some MOVEMENT THIS WEEK ON THIS FORUM!!!!!!! (apparently, there was movement last week, just not for any of these forum friends ).

Hi everyone. My son will turn 5 months old on the 27th. I guess that means I should get an update with pictures pretty soon. Other than that - no news here. My agency has not told me of any KO's so I guess nothing has happened.

Bizzie- a big CONGRATS to you.

Everyone- I hope we all get some good news soon and hopefully we'll see a flood of outs this week.

My son just turned five months old. Have been in PGN almost 1 month with no news. I'm hoping for updated photos this week but not really expecting any news from PGN.

I was walking around the mall today and saw so many cute outfits but was afraid to buy anything because I don't know how old my son will be when he comes home and what size he will be wearing. I'm still praying he's no more than 8-9 months old tops. I hope that's still realistic.

Hello ALL!
We are still nervous about entering PGN at a time when things are moving so sloooowwwlyyyy!!!! Anyway, we went in on June 14th.
My hubby is going alone on the first visit trip. He leaves this Thursday! I am staying at home with our two year old daughter.
He is a bit nervous....but I know he will do great! And I am banking on the thought that some other AP's will be at the same hotel and maybe take some pity on him and help him out a little!!!???! OR at least be there for moral support.
So far, I have packed an absolutely HUGE suitcase for the baby! DH will have to use the smaller one!
I am hoping everyone will get the good word soon!

Hi Fellow Leaf People...I remember raking leaves for the home visit...yikes...

Tom & Chel - I must have missed the announcement about baby #2 - Congratulations!

Myrna - you crack me up, you are already re-decorating before they get here! (I'm worried about hanging the wooden letters on the plaster walls...Erma Bombeck wrote the funniest article about a woman carrying a hammer & nail through the house!)

As for all of the shopping friends, our baby is quite small and I'm assuming that she'll wear 12 months at 18 months - here goes my favorite shopping season!! You can buy little shorts, kids wear them forever. (Our son is 3.5 years...some of his elastic waist shorts he's been wearing for 4 years!) - This was your mark of approval for pre-purchasing for next summer. You can also buy those plastic size things for your closet - I've been organizing all types of purchases I LOVE 4th of July clearance sales !

Flora will be 8 months next Monday . We're having a big party with 100+ people on Sunday...just assumed that she would be here for the annual bash. We're still in PGN...hoping for a medical update and new videos this week.

Hi all.
Ed and I returned late Sat. night from Guatemala (long day). On the way to the airport, and when the plane was taking off it really hit me that we were leaving Giancarlo behind. And today I'm in tears because I miss my little guy. Giancarlo is absolutely beautiful, a delight, and I wouldn't give up having made this visit no matter how I cry throughout the rest of the process.
I also loved visiting the country, and seeing some of Guatemala; we hope to see more perhaps on the pickup trip.
When we returned home, we had the DNA report in the mail - 99.9431% match! There were also two photos of Gian with his birthmother - she's very pretty. In the photos, Gian was looking to the side, almost as if someone were standing there who he wanted to be with. A little sad.

I'll try to attach some photos.

I hope everyone has good news this week! I'm so glad for the support this group provides - thank you all.

Hi all - I'm just popping in to say "Hey" to all of you I haven't been posting on any forums lately - just kind of lurking everywhere. So glad to see everyone is doing well and I hope we see movement on all your cases.

We got out of PGN on 6/14 (we entered on 5/3), got new BC on 6/20 and were submitted for PINK on 6/22. Our agency thinks we will be getting PINK tomorrow (6/27) and have our Embassy appointment the following week.

Thanks for all your support during this process. I will post when we are traveling, in case we can meet up with any of you...
