PINK!!! and a question
I am soooo excited!!! My son is coming home.
My question is, my appointment is July 3rd, visa pick up on July 5th. How likely is it that they will allow me to pick up his visa on the afternoon of the 3rd so we can be home on the 4th??? thanks

Congrats on getting PINK, I'm so excited for you! I'm sorry I can't help with the Visa question though. Have you tried asking your agency at all?
And Holy Cow, looking at your sig I see it was so fast from Out to Pink!! We got out of PGN on 6/14...one day after you...so I have high hopes that we'll be seeing pink soon!

that would be nice but they do a final security check thats why the wait til the next day. We had an appt on Friday and had to wait til Monday to get it...
YIPPEEE on the pink!!! I told you they were good over there at our agency!!! The check is on its way to you-should be there in a day or two.. Thanks a million and let me know all the wonderful details!!!! Doretta

I had a Friday appt and was told they only do same day visas where there is a medical or family emergency.

I don't know if they will or not, but you have to ask on the day of your Embassy appt. My attorney said several of his familly's have requested same day pick up and were given their Visa the same day. My friend had her appt on a Friday and was able to pick up her Visa the same day. There was no family or medical emergency, they just asked.

Congratulations! I hope you have a wonderful trip. Our Embassy appointment was on a Friday, and my husband ended up traveling by himself since I wasn't feeling well at the time. They did give him our son's Visa the same day, and we were able to get the plane ticket switched so they could come home that afternoon. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

Congratulations!! I've heard of people asking and they are able to pick it up the same day... I read on one of the forums that the Embassy is not that busy right now because so few have been getting out of PGN. Therefore, they are giving people same day visas when they ask... If all else fails, cry! I've heard that works too...
