What was your best adoption fundraiser and how much did you earn?

I would love to see a post of the best fundraiser you did for your adoption and how much it earned. Funding an adoption is such a big obstacle to climb, all help is appreciated!

Wow, Stacy! That definitely was a great fundraiser!
We've had several fundraisers so far. Our first was a cookbook fundraiser which is still ongoing. So far, we've raised approximately $1,600! Our second was a yard sale where friends and family donated a huge amount of items - we made around $983 on that fundraiser. I was also a jewelry consultant for one year, and did not plan on continuing so I sold all my jewelry and made approximately $700. We're also considering a type of bake sale or hoagie sale. T-shirt fundraisers seem to go over well too.

Best wishes on your fundraising!

We are working on a cookbook fundraiser now (Mamma, I glad to hear that you had success ), and we have several "projects" for the future, but the best that I've heard so far was from a family through our agency. They had an auction and raised almost $8,000!!!

Stacy, I'd love to hear more about the Beef & Beer.

Exclamation neat fundraiser

We also live in a fairly small town. We did a hot dog lunch where we made up order forms and offered hot dogs, chips, drinks and dessert delivered to businesses. The businesses were thrilled that they did not have to go out to lunch. We even had people tell us if we did it again, that they would participate. Also a baked spaghetti dinner in our community. One thing that was a big hit was serving lunch at the fellowship hall in our church. People are going out to eat anyway so if they can help a good cause most would rather do that. We served the baked spaghetti one time then did a baked potatoe and salad bar the other.

We held a Christian concert of local talent at our church and had our agency promote it on the local radio stations. We raised around $5000.00 We also printed up flyers and posted them all over town and asked several churches in the area to put it in their newsletter. We also did a powerpoint pesentation becuase we had already completed the adoption process.

We had our agency there incase others were intrested in adoption and one couple is now adopting!

We just had our first fundraiser Garage Sale. All of our friends donated a ton of stuff and we ended up making $2,500!!! It was a ton of work, but well worth it!!!
