Hi Guys, Below is a copy of the disturbing email I got today while awaiting our PREARROVAL! MNore disturbing is that my agency has not called me back in the past 3 hours and I am so lost. Help!
PLEASE COMPLY WITH THE BELOW CHECKED INSTRUCTIONS Date of birth is different on these three documents. It is necessary to clarify which is the correct date of birth and present these documents showing the correct date of birth. q Birth mother's Birth Certificate in LITERAL form q Photocopy of the birth mother's I.D. (Cedula de Vecindad) q Birth mother's I.D. registration in LITERAL form or photocopy of the I.D. record properly certified. __________________________________________________ ________________________ Failure to submit this information by July 14, 2006 may result in denial of your application for Form I-600 Petition to Classify Orphan as an Immediate Relative. ANY DOCUMENTS THAT ARE NOT ORIGINALS MUST BE AUTHENTICATED. ANY DOCUMENTS THAT ARE NOT IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A CERTIFIED ENGLISH TRANSLATION. (THE TRANSLATOR MUST CERTIFY THAT HE/SHE IS COMPETENT TO TRANSLATE AND THAT THE TRANSLATION IS ACCURATE). Form I-72 PLEASE BRING A COPY OF THIS NOTICE WITH THE DOCUMENTS/INFO REQUESTED.

This is called an I-72 and is a "previo" or "KO" from the Embassy. This is your attorney's responsibility to provide them with the docs they are requesting.

I have good news and sad news. We got one of these with our middle addoption. Well, the good news is that they are working on your pre-approval. The other good news is that your attorney should be able to get this information to the embassy to correct this - or it is a mistake your attorney can take care of. Sounds to me like they just have the birthmothers birthday wrong on one of the documents - hopefully this is an easy fix for them.
 The sad news is that it wasn't your Pre-Approval that you received in your e-mail. Make sure you forward this e-mail to your agency and have them make sure your attorney has this information.  The good news is that when I received one of these e-mails - I got pre-approval three days after the information they requested was received by the embassy. So, get ahold of your agency and keep us updated. Let's pray for a quick fix and a Pre-Approval really soon!!

My agency did call me back. I have to say they okay on that front...but all she could say was that it happens and that it is usually fixed within a week. If it is not fixed in one week then she can bug the lawyer and we might worry.
I will take the good news that our file was actually looked at for preapproval...and hope that this is an "easy" fix. We all have to keep hoping and praying for each other... Thanks!!

Yippeeeee! 8/18/06 FINALLY IN PGN 8/25/06 ooops....our mistake! NOT in PGN!  9/4/06 Okay! NOW we're IN PGN! 12/19/06 OUT OUT OUT of PGN! Thank you SOOOOOO MUCH!  1/10/07 new birth certificate issued 1/17/07 PINK!!! Appt is 1/23/07 Thank you God!  Finally home in Kentucky! 1/29/07
