I took a BEAUTIFUL picture of Meeah. I edited it and cropped it to make it look better. When it prints out, it cuts off the top of her head. Both on my computer and on snapfish!!! I didn't save the origional picture Does anyone know anything at all I can do???

Long shot here from the technically challanged, but was the origional on your computer and you deleted it? If so, do you have a "Recycle Bin" on your computer? On mine, there is an icon titled Recycle Bin and things that were deleted stay in there for a time (Not sure how long) and can be retrived in the case of an Oops. (Can you tell I have had to retrive something more than once?!)

My much more technical husband could probably give you a better explanation if it WAS on your computer and you deleted it recently.

There may be a simpler solution too, but thought I would throw that out there.

Greetings -- I'm not familiar with Snapfish. I use Shutterfly, which has the option to "Revert to original" after you've cropped a picture, added a border, etc.

Also if this was a picture that was emailed to you. Do you still have the email message? And if you deleted it -- is still be in your deleted emails file?

I didn't delete the origional, I modified it... and SAVED it!! I'm assuming that means the origional no longer exists??? I just want to cry....

Just checked with DH and he said that if you modified and then saved it without changing the name of the file, it would override it and the origional is gone. I'm sorry!!

I assume that it looks ok on your screen, it is just when you print it? What about finding a camera shop or photo developing/printing shop in your area and going in and asking if they have any suggestions.

The woman in front of me at the Costco photo counter the other day was complaining that people's heads were cut off in her pictures, even though they didn't look that way on her screen when she uploaded them, and the person working there gave her an explanation. But I was trying to keep my kids under control and wasn't paying much attention.

Did you edit the picture in your computer or camera? If you modified it in the computer and if you did not overwrite or erase the memory card the image should still be in your memory card...

So the picture on your computer is still OK, it is just when you get it printed that it gets cropped? If that is the case, you could modify the image and add white space around it so that it doesn't get cropped when printed. You would end up with a print with a white border around, but at least it wouldn't chop her head off!
