FYI- Couple of cool child-friendly Guatemalan books!
Hey gang! Just thought I would share two books I found and purchased on Amazon. They are great for your children to learn about Guatemala! I have them in my bookshelf as we speak, for when Antonio gets a tad older.
One is called "Guatemala: A Question and Answer Book" and the other is "Guatemala ABC's: A Book About the People And Places of Guatemala" They are both colorful, have TONS of facts and information about Guatemala in a simple, easy to read, child friendly way. Also, "Over the Moon, An Adoption Tale" is written by a woman who adopted a little girl from Guatemala. The book itself isn't Guatemala per se, but the author's perspective is adoption. Just wanted to share!

Correction re: "Over the Moon"- I mean, the author's perspective is "Guatemala" even though its a general overseas adoption story.

Did you just get the Guat ABC book? I am curious because I tried ordering it back in probably early April to go in the kids' Easter baskets and after several weeks I got an email saying it wasn't available. If you just got it recently, I will try ordering it again.

I've got all of those books and think they're great... my 3-year-old daughter really likes Over the Moon now. She's less interested in the other two at this point.
It isn't an adoption book, however, I want to toss in that she really seems to love "Sawdust Carpets" which is about Holy Week in Antigua. Our DD went back with us to Antigua last year, and she remembers it (at least from pictures), so she thinks it's neat to see places in the book that she's been. She also likes the book "Abuela's Weave." I keep meaning to buy "Mama and Papa Have a Store" (by same author as Sawdust Carpets) but haven't gotten around to it yet.
