I don't even have fertility drugs to blame my 20 (and counting) pounds on in the last 3 months. I had a hysterectomy last december and everyone keeps telling me that is the reason that I am gaining, but personally I think it's sitting in front of the computer or phone and eating cookies 'n' cream ice cream 24/7. Last week I was going to start walking to try to help my weight but then I hurt my knee and I couldn't. Maybe we should start a weight club on here? Start trying nutritious recipes and helping each other find time to walk or exercise? What do you guys think?

Well if nothing else, this thread made me feel better that I'm not the only one who didn't drop the pounds after the attempts to conceive. AND talking about it got me off my butt and on my treadmill for 35 minutes.

I am glad some of you feel inspired to exercise. Hearing everybody else stories I don't feel so alone and I was inspired to go ahead and make the cookie dough.

Chica_latina: I like the way you think, but no, it doesn't work that way. I have three and well, I only continue to get fatter as the days go on...I finish their McDonalds fries so they don't go to waste...I take the starburst they offer me because they are sharing so nice...
 Speaking of all of this, I've got to squeeze my fat hinder in some kind of dressy outfit for a wedding this weekend. I don't think getting on the treadmill is going to do anything for me in the next four days. By the way, having a fundraiser rummage sale this thurs and fri so everyone wish me luck! I have to sell our camper to help make the next payment!

5-8 lbs here. Ice cream sure tastes good ..... I'm hoping the running around after a toddler will help get rid of this...

UGH! 10 pounds here and I already had around 10 to lose before.. I cant get into any of my nice shirts cause my freakin boobs grew too.. and the love handles...well, let just say, they aint so lovely anymore when they squish out the sides of your pants...
Today I decided to start walking for at least 15 minutes...but then the baby got a fever and my 4 yr old was being very rebellious so I had some chocolate instead... oh well, whats another tootsie roll to add to the love handles.. Maybe tomorrrow...

I'm really surprised to find out I'm not the only one. I thought it was just me. I've gained 20 pounds in the year since I first started. I think it's stress and uncertainty and the fear of disappointment, all of which I'm coping with by eating.
Hopefully when I bring my son home, I'll be happy and busy and tired and active and lose it.

I gained about 10 lbs during the adoption and since John has been home I have lost 5 but more importantly I have tighten up since my jeans are lose on my butt and thighs. I think it is from to constant swaying!

I had weight to lose before we started again........I blame it on a hysterectomy, wedding and adoption of our two boys all within the same year. (We have to blame it on something, right???)
 I REALLY like the idea of starting a weekly "Adoption dieting/exercise" thread. Anyone else???
