It took 9.5 months to get my son home, we found most of the snags in the process since his birth mother was a minor. I would say 6-8 months is the average!

BTW - we were completely paper ready and everything when we got the referral!

Good Luck!

Our little girl was 7 months old when we accepted her referral and we brought her home at 14 months old, it should have been shorter but the US Embassy lost our paperwork.

The shortest timeslines I've seen since I've been on this forum is 3 months. There were 2 or 3 cases that got out in 3 months last summer. Other than that I think the norm is 6-8 months, which is exactly what my agency told us to expect.

I'm in my 9th month and still waiting... good luck... Other countrys do take longer. Of all of them, Guatemala is still probably the shortest wait..

our little baby was just days old when we accepted her referral.
she came home at 4.5 months old.
we had a great timeline.

however,
we also lost a referral which we first were paper ready for a month after that referral. so timelines are odd and have a lot of misc. stuff in them.

best wishes in adding to your family!
