We were paper ready when we received our referral, and our baby boy came home just shy of 6 months.

Our daughter just turned 6 months on Sunday, and we are flying down to pick her up this Saturday. I think 6-8 months is pretty average.

I am going to anticipate 6-8 mths for our next adoption. Melia's adoption took exactly 3 months. She came home a week and a half shy of four months. We were very lucky, I will not count on that again.

We received our Daughter's referral when she was about a week old. (We were paper ready) She came home at 4 1/2 months.

Our older son was 3 weeks old when we accepted referral and he was home at 5 1/2 months. Our younger son was 2 weeks old when we accepted referral. He turned 2 months old last week, and we are in family court with SWI and DNA scheduled next week.
Our agency advises 6-8 months from date of referral.

Timeframe
We were paper ready before referral. We received her referral when she was three weeks old and brought her home almost exactly 4 months later. She was almost 5 months old :-) We were very lucky to have such a great timeline!

We accepted Bryce's referral when she was just a few days old, but we were not paper ready until she was 2 1/2 months... We still brought her home five days shy of turning 7 months..

All three of my babies were referred at just a few days old. My first son came home at 5.5 months old, my second son came home at 4 months old and my daughter came home at about 5.5 months old.
