Re-Adoption in Georgia
Has anyone done a re-adoption in Georgia recently? We have called endless amounts of people to get info and everyones answer is we don't handle that. Very frustrated and need some help.

We readopted our son in November in Georgia. The attorney we used was actually a family friend who did it as a favor. BUT we found several adoption lawyers when we googled it. All of them were in the Atlanta area (and I remember one lady was also an adoptive mother). We were quoted anywhere from $800 to $1200.

We also live in Georgia. We are in the process of readoption. Our attorney is waiting to hear about a court date hopefully soon. Our attorney is also an adoptive mom. If you live in north Ga. and you need an attorney, PM me and I will send you her name.

Georgia recognizes a foreign adoption. All you have to do is a recognition and a new birth certificate will be issued from your state.
