Monday, 5/22/06 - I-171 waiters list!
Hey everybody -
We had a LOT of struggles this past week with our I-171's. Here's hoping for a much better week. Congrats to foradoption, hoping4#1 and ph0enix_29 all received theirI-171's! On to the DNA list! Any other updates or news? We're going on week 3 but feeling good today!

This will be week 4 for me. The Chicago office was moving faster but now is back to turtle speed. I was told to expect 5 weeks but I think it will be more like 7-8. I'm really going nuts waiting, I just can't wait to get a referral. Oh yeah and my HS date is 4/27/06 not 4/24. I called and they confirmed they have it recorded on the 27th eventhough it arrived there on the 24th. I hope there is a lot of movement this week!!!!!

We're headed into week 8 of our wait, and had our fingerprints done on May 3. According to MI USCIS it's taking 90 days from the time you submit 1600A w/ home study, so hopefully we'll have it soon!!!!

Still no 171-H! I did however speak to the women in Hartford at INS this morning who said that we are close because my Hubby had his clearance and they were just waiting on mine, so I guess that's getting somewhere. Atleast I know I won't get it today or tomorrow but Please by the end of the week!!! Waiting is soooo hard! God is really teaching me a lesson!

How do you get on the list?? My HS and application will be in the STL office first thing in the morning........being sent overnight from my agency in CA. Hoping that I receive my appt quickly for fingerprints!!!

Well The INS called us last Thursday and we was unable to make contact with them until today, here I went all weekend Worrying and scared and they just wanted to clarify a couple of things, anyways she said that they have everything and our file is on top of her list and she was hoping to get to it today YEAH
Hoping to have 171 H next week YIPPEE HEY GUATGAL If you have your referral by time you get your fingers done they will expedite your case for you Just FYI. Brandee

I have NO NEWS and I frustrated as I spent three hours hitting redial to Cleveland on friday and three hours today and STILL have not gotten through to see if my fingerprints were accepted. I can only call from 1-4 pm. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day I get through because I am soooooo tired of trying to reach them.

Got it!
We received ours on May 15th! Now we are waiting for our referral! We went through the Chicago Office and it took us 10 weeks from the date they recorded receiving our homestudy. I called every other week to see the status of our case. They were very friendly, but it sure didn't help move our case along at all. Just want to give a heads up to other Chicago waiters. Hang in there!

Omg Omg Omg Omg!!!!!
YEAH!!!!! Ours came TODAY!!! DH called me at work when he got home just stammering over all his words trying to get it out. I started screaming!!! We called the our case worker and she said we should receive the referral of our baby girl in the next couple of days. We were out of the Memphis office and they are speedy. It took a little over two and a half weeks. YEAH!!!

No news for us, as well. We did, however, get all of our docs back from the embassy for authentication!! Yeay!! We still won't get a referral until the 171 comes in. They say it could be as much as 90 days but a friend just got her's back after 6 weeks. So, we're looking at another 3 before ours comes...fingers crossed!!
