A friend of mine from our small group at church just sent me a Mother's Day card - my first!

She also included a poem. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Happy Mother's Day!!!

Dear God,

Please bring my beautiful baby home to me soon,
I need to rock him 'neath the light of the moon,
I need to kiss his warm soft, sweet face,
I want to teach him of your love and grace.

He needs to know I'm his parent for keeps,
He needs to know I'll watch while he sleeps.
I know you've a plan, you're much wiser than I,
But I fear you've forgotten, as time passes by.

I'll watch for a sign and I'll know that you're there,
I'll pray for some news and remember you care.

I want to hold YOU and make all your fears mild.

Believe that you'll share so much more than you'll miss!

Your baby is coming home to you soon!

My friend (who also adopted from Guatemala) was given this poem from someone else - not sure who.

I don't think there would be a problem using it in a journal or web site...I did!

This is a wonderful poem and it gave me a great sense of peace today when I read it. Sometimes we know these things but you just need to hear someone else say it.

Bumping up so others might get to read. I think it went unnoticed.
