Our agency told us how they wanted it done...we received a letter back with the prints stating "no record" and we typed up a letter verifing it was true and signed that. The notary then notarized our signatures...

With our case, our agency attached a notarized form letter to our prints when we got them back from FBI. Maybe your agency does something like that? Hope that helps.

We, too, typed up a letter. BUT then when my husband took them to be certified by the state, they said they could certify the signer's signature directly since he was a public official.

What does the attached letter say? DO you attach it to the existing prints or type it on the FBI letter? Thanks!

We were told we could have the public officials signature certified without any notarization. Still waiting on the FBI letters though!
