Adopting preschooler
Is there anyone out there who has adopted a preschooler from Guatemala and is willing to PM me the name of your agency and/ or the story of your experience? We recently adopted a toddler boy from Russia and would like to pursue the adoption of a little girl from Guatemala. Our agency is trying to discourage us and point us toward Russia again. I would appreciate any input. Thanks.

We adopted a baby from Guat and I certainly wouldn't recommend our agency for a toddler/preschooler, but reading your post I just wanted to encourage you to follow your heart for the next child. You are the one that will know where your child is-- NOT your agency!
Best wishes...there are many beautiful young children in Guatemala in need of homes.

I agree with aranbr. Follow your heart. We weren't even considering international adoption until we saw our litle angels picture. So fine the right agency for you and your family and everything will be great. I am adopting a toddler girl who is 2.5 myself so i would whole heartedly recommend my agenc and of course toddler adoptions. I have been to visit her and all though she is legally blind and requires a little bit more time to get used to new smells and sounds she is a angel doll baby. So as already said follow your heart and the Lord will show you the way.
