Really great link for attachment info in fostered infants.

As some of you may know...I have a list of links for parents of infants and toddlers relating to attachment, attachment parenting, and what to do if your child should struggle. My son adopted at just 8 months and 1 day old did end up having an attachment disorder...but I am happy to say that after 23 months home he started showing major signs that he is healing and going to be OK.
Anyway, I recently found this link and thought you may like it here as most of these mom's have adopted their children internationally and from a foster care situation. It has a wide range of information...and was created by moms for moms...

I love that site......I actually requested that family and friends read some it so they understand a bit before Isabel comes home.

I skimmed through it and have to say I disagreed with pretty much everything in it. It just reads like a bunch of pop psycho babble thats likely to create the very problems it's trying to avoid. My child will have to survive without my bathing with him, sleeping with him, carrying him around all day, never leaving him and picking him up the second he starts crying, staying on a bottle long past an appropriate age and other nonsense.

Just my opinion.

Karen,
Thanks so much for this website. We are working through some attachment issues you with my daughter and it was great to read similar stories. I liked how this site dealt with mostly babies in foster care. It helped me to relate more with their situations and see that even though our children have a good start attachment issues can still happen.
I especially love the success stories. It's good to know with alot of patience and hardwork these children can do wonderfully.
Blessings,
Anne
