When celebrities have to advertise they they have or plan to adopt - All this exposure - what are the kids really gonna think when they get older. Keep it private and if not educate people about the adoption process and the real time it takes to bring you child home.
I really dont agree with Mr. Cruise but he didnt expose his adoptive children to the press and niether did Sharon Stone or others. Whats up with all this.
I read that Ms. J plans to give an exclusive to People, which in exchange will donate $3.5 million to UNICEF. Does she even know what UNICEF has felt about adoptions such as in Guatemala. EDUCATE PEOPLE for godness sake.
At work the other day a comment was made -well if the parents dont take care of them they will have nannies which is better then them being in the streets. Thats not the point guys - Maybe since we have really put thought time and dedication into the process of wanting a child we know what it takes to raise one. Thats why there are so many kids out there with issues.

Can we not find some way to email this girl and let her know what they are doing. There has to be something we can do. She has to know that htis is not a good thing. Great go ahead and adopt but there are great places to put that money to and UNICEF is not one of them.

I totally agree these celebrities should not advertise .
A few years ago I read an interview with Marie Osmond, and the reporter ask her , more than one time which of her children were adopted ,
she refused to answer by saying they are all mine, period.
What a classy lady and appears to have adopted for the right reason.

Here we go again. Angelina Jolie knows more about the needs of third world children than the majority of people on this forum ever will. She enables the poor children of the world to speak and people will listen simply because she is a "star."

The more famous people speak out about problems the more will be done to help situations like 3m starving people in Darfur.

Money donated to Unicef will feed and vaccinate tens of thousands of children. I don't care what their stance is on adoption since helping Americans or any other country adopt should not be their priority. Far better to try to improve health and education so that maybe one day the countries can support their own children.
