A word to the wise!
I didn't pay attention to the posts about calling cards in GC before I went (I had too much else on my mind).
I was charged $120.00 for a 20 minute phone call from my room at the Westin! Be smart and plan ahead!!!

Visited Thanksgiving 2005 and in my arms April 18, 2006. All the stuff in the middle don't matter no more.

Thanks for the tip.
I also learned this the hard way , but it was here in ther states $20.00 for a 15 min call. These hotels sure make out on phone calls.

HOME May~2~2009 .

Well I too learned the hard way, and let me tell you my bill was HUGE at the Marriott. They were really kind when I nearly fainted at the desk and wrote off almost all of it. I can laugh now, but let me tell you.....that was as close a call as I came to not getting out of Guatemala

Thanks so much for the information!
I knew hotels charged alot of money for using the phone, but I didn't think it would be THAT much! We are probably going to use our cell phones...

Yes, use the phones in the lobby.
