adoption baby shower
My family is planning on having a baby shower for us before our son comes home. Any ideas on how to word the shower invitation?

We didn't have any special wording, BUT be sure that you put down how old your child is and a rough estimate of what size you think he will be. That's hard to guess of course, but make sure that people know NOT to buy 0-3 month sized clothing! We had a few people buy us small outfits - I guess they just didn't remember that she is ALREADY 3 months old!
 These are the things that I took to the shower: a list of the steps of the process a map of Guatemala to show everyone where she was born pictures of her Everyone enjoyed learning more about the process. Have a fun time!!!

Mine is next weekend and what I did was a postcard size invite with the Guatemala Flag on the front and it said:
Your invited to a baby shower in honor of Carson Louis ***** Then the back of the invite I did the backgorund as an american flag and it read: Come Celebrate with us, as our family prepares for the arrival of Carson Louis the adoptive son of Christopher and Elizabeth ****** then the when and where time and hosted by info all the regualr info the room theme and where we registered at... then we have a blog that everyone just loves and I put follow their adoption story online at then the address. I have lots of shower ideas so if you have any questions let me know I would be glad to pm a pciture of the invite if you want it turned out really good everyone loves them.

Definitely register if you haven't. If you have a BabiesRUs, you can just register online if you do not want to go there. If you need any tips on what is good, their website has really cool and accurate reviews,that is how we chose almost everything. Good luck!

mine is this Sunday and I am dreading it! I know it will be great but there is something about being the center of attention that feels so weird. The invite said:
" Ella Joan will be coming home soon, please join us...." Have fun!

Welcoming Party...
Our baby shower was held after our little one arrived home. The invitation noted it as a "Welcoming Party." He enjoyed "socializing" with everyone.
