Red face less adoption expenses

Does anyone know where you can adopt from Guatamala less than 20K? I just cannot afford the high cost.

I don't, but a word of caution-- one oft gets what they pay for, or so the old saying goes. I'd just check it out very carefully if you find a some place less than the "going rate".

Some folks opt to skip the agency....

and go direct with an Atty.

Maybe in the am more people will see your post and respond to it.

I know some have worked directly with hogars too and saved some money.

Personally I have a great agency and am certain that they are a true advocate for me and wouldn't want to try and save some money by not using one.

There was a thread recently about a similiar topic.

Hope someone can jump in and give you some good insight....

It is tough because of the expense of adopting... It eliminates some very good families that would love to raise these children.

Best Wishes,

LJ

I think even if you eliminate an agency in the middle, you will still pay at least $20,000. Our attorney costs were over $20,000 and we still had dossier fees, homestudy, DNA testing, visa fees, I600, etc.

Keep in mind, there is a $10,000+ tax credit for those who qualify. You could borrow that amount and pay back the loan when youget your refund.

Love, Shelly
