moratorium gossip
has anyone heard tell of a possible guate adoption moratorium stance the US embassy might assume come early summer? a friend of mine who is an adoption facilitator in guate has heard rumors-only rumors -but even rumors can begin in a grain of truth- yikes -hope not

Look at the Hague Discussion thread that is ....
stickied at the top of this forum, perhaps that what you friend is referring to with the moratorium (sp?) (halt/stop/ban).
That should answer your questions (kinda complicated to explain, even I don't undertstand all of it even though I try),and yes it would be shame to have the Guat adoptions cease. A crying shame.... Laura Jean

Anyone hear about this? This sounds differerent than the Hague Implementation that could take place in 2007 - a moratorium at the embassy early summer? That is in 2 months?! Anyone? Lisa
