I was going to use the Child Abuse History Check and Criminal Background Checks from our homestudy for our dossier, but both were done in July of 2005. Will they be too old to use for the dossier by the time it gets down there (which should be in about a month or so) or should I get new ones issued?

From what I've learned, all your documents can't be more than a year old by the time you're in PGN.

So, it's a close call for you. Just to be safe, and at the rate DNA is moving, I'd suggest you get new ones. I didn't need either of those for our dossier though. Maybe we called them something else?

We only did those for our homestudy too... The only criminal background needed for our dossier was the fingerprinting for our 171-H clearance...

We had a state and FBI letter for our dossier.

For our dossier we had to have a state criminal clearance letter.

And the rule of thumb is nothing over a year old once it's in PGN. We had to order new birth certificates for adoption #2 because they were issued last April when we were working on our first dossier.

I'm not going to chance it then...I just filled out forms to get new ones issued to be safe.
