Red face Any Connecticut Families Out There ?!

Hello everyone !
I've been reading the forum for a year know & through our adoption process, it's really been so helpful. just to know about the other families out there.

We do have our beautiful son Anthony Patrick home with us, he's brought so much absolute joy to my husband Larry & our familile lives, we couldn't imagine our lives without him.

For those of you still waiting, Hang in there !! There is an awesome light @ the end of that tunnel, you'll see.... It was so worth the heartache of this process that you forget everything once your child is in your arms, you truly do.

My husband & I were wondering if there were any other families out there from Connecticut that have adopted from Guatemala as we did & would like to get together.
You can PM me if you'd like, we would love to get together.

I'll post pics of Anthony !!

Happy Easter Everyone !!
Our thoughts & Prayers are with you all !!
Kathy & Larry

We are from CT

Hi Kala. My husband and I live in CT and have just gotten on the Guatemala wait list for our little boy. We got on the list 3/30 and they are saying its a 2 month wait.
We would love to meet CT families who have adopted from or are in the process of adopting from Guatemala !!

CT family

Hi, we are in Wallingford CT. We are using a MA agency with an office in CT. We are frustrated at our long referral time - for our baby boy. But...what can we do.
I am new here and not sure how to use the features. We can e-mail directly if you want ?

Hey Ran !!

Welcome Welcome !!
You're soo close ! We're in Ansonia ! About 20 min away !
We'd love to meet you !
Yeah, i can't beleive it's a 2 mnth wait for a baby boy, that sounds like a long time, it usually is much sooner for boys than girls.
Do you have any other children ?
I'd love to hear more about you & your family & the start of your journey.

If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to pm me or emal me @ home @ kath213@adelphia.net

Talk to you soon !
Kathy

Hello...I live in Rowayton (between Darien and Norwalk), I brought my son home in Sept. He is almost 15 months now and doing amazingly well! I also used a Mass. agency. A while back some families were trying to do a Ct get together started but it didnt work out. Maybe we could try again..

Hi....

We are in CT too.

We are bringing home our second daughter in a few weeks hopefully. Been out of PGN since 3/17. Supposed to get BC on Tues.

We started an adoption for a lil boy a month ago.

We are grateful to God that he is allowing us to build our family this way.

Thanks for the thread. Neat to see who is nearby.

BTW, I love my agency if anyone ever needs one. They are in West Hartford.

Also from CT

It's nice to see so many CT Families. I'm from the Hartford Area. We are currently adoption a baby girl. SHe is 8.5 mths old. We're in PGN, waiting to hear something... I am also the proud mom on a 2 year old boy, also born in Guatemala.

It would be great to meet at a park or something once the weather is reliably warm!

I agree with an earlier poster who said the waiting and lack of control over the process is tough, but the reward is great! I hear it's like childbirth - once you have the baby in your arms, the pain is forgotten. Until you go thru it again with #2!

yes...lets get together...CT families...

I am not familiar with the Hartford Area, but there is a park in Meriden - Hubbard Park - that may be kind of central to everyone. How about a Sat or Sun in early May ???

Another CT family

We brought home our son from Guatemala in early Feb. of this year, at almost five months of age. He is our 14th child. We live in southeastern CT.
