Exclamation The G-884 Wait List *Important New Info* - April 7, 2006

Dear Friends,

I received our G-884 form back in the mail today from our Charlotte office. It stated that since April 2005 the G-884 would no longer be serviced by local offices. We received instructions to send our package to the following address:

National Records Center
FOIA Division
P.O. Box 648010
Lee’s Summit, MO 64064-8010

I have since spoken with a representative with the National Records Center and he confirmed that with rare exception all requests are being directed there. Whether or not your local center will return yours or forward it on to the NRC I don't know.

The representative said that all requests would be better off being sent to them directly. I will keep on this as there is quite a bit more information regarding this that I am confirming.

One thing to note. Do not send your packet overnight or even 2nd or 3rd day mail. Definitely send it with a delivery confirmation but nothing more.

Those who have sent yours off already do not panic. Yours should either have been sent on to the NRC or you will receive them shortly. Mine was returned a few days ago so I am restarting my time on the list labeling the NRC as the receiver this time.

If anyone has information that supports or adds to this information, please post it here!

Thanks for the info. Cody! Could you either post or PM me with the number you called for the National Records Center? I have a friend who sent hers to our local office here in Michigan in January and had her son's paperwork back in March. I am wondering if we are one of the exceptions or if it was just forwarded on and she didn't realize it.

Thanks for all your help on this!

Mine was returned also but I've been sitting on my hands and haven't sent it. I will do that soon.
