Has any one?
Has anyone wore jeans to GC on the trip?
I would think that is ok? I will be with my baby girl Sunday

There have been previous discussions about this topic. Some people feel jeans are not appropriate as we are representing our country. Some people feel that jeans are fine. I have also read that some agencies tell their clients not to wear jeans while in Guatemala.
On our visit trip, I wore capris mostly. My husband wore jeans the whole time. We felt comfortable. I would go with what you feel comfortable wearing...

While I agree it is respectable to dress nice, my dh wore jeans almost the whole trip he said, except for embassy appt. He says "when in Rome..." and he said most everyone he saw, well, maybe like 70% were wearing jeans...

DH wore jeans all the time with the exception of when we met the attorney, foster family or were at the embassy. As soon as that was over he got back into jeans. I did buy him a couple of pair of new jeans that looked darker still and I would not let him take his favorite worn ones.

We both wore them around the hotel. Heck, even our facilitator came in them! I think they are becoming more and more acceptable.

My husband wore jeans and shorts at the hotel, I made him dress in nicer clothes for the embassy appointment. What was funny was most all of the escorts that were with the families at the embassy were wearing jeans.

Take jeans!! We just got back from our pickup trip 2 weeks ago. Our agency told us not to take any jeans. We were probably the only ones that didn't have jeans. We even saw a few people (men) in docker type shorts.
