Señor Danny Bebito -- A Brief Update...and Pix!
My little señor Danny (aka Bebito) has just had his 22 month birthday, and we're now in the homestretch heading toward his early June birthday when he turn 2.
If you ask him "How old are you going to be, Bebito?" He says "DOS!!!" This morning, it's a bit blustery and cool here so the little guy decided on his own to go get his favorite sweater. A cousin of mine gave it to us when Bebito got here, and it's a handknitted sweater with an American flag -- but interestingly, it's hand-made in Ecuador, so it's that wonderful heavy knit -- he loves the sweater (as do I), and so here are some pix of the little man in his favorite sweater. (I think he likes the hood! He pulls it up, and says "I'm COOOOOOOLD!") His Grampa (My father) was just here visiting for the weekend, and Bebito LOVES his "BUMPA" -- that's what he calls him. They both have an affinity for potato chips, so they did some serious guy bonding, sitting on the couch over chips. Bebito also has endeared himself to my husband, because the little guy has become a basketball fan!! During the NCAA games over the past few weeks, my husband would be giving Bebito his bedtime "baba" and they'd be laying on the bed, watching the basketball. Hubby didn't think that Bebito was paying much attention until one time, they went to commercial, and Bebito pops the bottle out of his mouth, and looks at Daddy and says "MAS BALL? MAS BALL?"  Now, whenever he sees any basketball on the screen, he yells "BALLLLLLLLL!!!!" at the top of his lungs.  I think my husband is SO pleased that he now has another guy around who likes to watch ball. Between me, my daughter and our female cat -- none of us fans of any ball sports -- he's been outnumbered!! Here's my little guy...can't believe a year ago, I was agonizing over the departure of Merida, and spending six weeks kicked out of PGN and going back through US preapproval a 2nd time -- aargh!! An utter nightmare... And now, I have my wonderful, fantastic, amazing, smart, hilarious, and ok, totally handsome and adorable little guy instead!!! I'm MUCH happier these days!!  Mary/BebitosMama

Awww what a cutie! Thanks for the Bebito update - he is my kind of guy watching basketball and eating chips already!! JJ likes to watch basketball too - he actually knows to clap when the ball goes through the hoop (although he claps for both teams!).
