New Attorney General???
I read on another forum that there is a new Attorney General at the embassy and some delays due to this. Has anyone here heard about this and if so what stages of the process are expected to be dealyed because of this change?

All I know is what I read on the Guatadopt website, which is that President Berger has appointed the head of PGN, Sr. Molina, to be on the Constitutional Court. The new acting head of PGN is the former head of PGN's adoption unit, Alvaro Lobos. The posting on the Guatadopt website, posted by Kevin K., says that he has no information yet about what impact, if any, this shake up at PGN will have on adoptions.

The attorney general would be the head of the PGN, which is on the Guatemalan side of things. The Embassy is the US Embassy. It is confusing sometimes to keep the US and the Guatemalan issues separate!

I have read a couple of comments on the Yahoo site that the new AG took office on 4/1/2006 and it was jus a matter of time to get the new staff up and running and they are expecting the new AG to get things "cranking."
That is all I could find reading around other sites...I guess it is just a wait and hope
