Singles thread- week of April 3rd
I guess I will start since Lisa is not here
. I hope things start moving for her soon- if you're "listening", Lisa, I am thinking about you!A big congratulations to Kathy for her referral of a baby girl! Can't wait to see pictures. Kathy (John Carlos's Mom)- are you leaving soon to pick him up? I lost track a little. Marjorie- how are things with 3? As for me, I am waiting not so patiently to be out of PGN. I had a previo last week and went back in the same day or shortly after. I am also waiting for my 4 month update, but he will be 5 months before I get it! He saw the doctor almost 2 weeks ago! Oh, well. How is everyone else?

Well, I'm clearly in a great place - got my referral just last night after just 3 weeks on the waiting list (was told it would be more like 2+ months). Thank goodness NYS does immigration clearance so quickly - that's what moved me to the top of the list.
I'm excited, scared, exhausted (kind of had an idea this was coming since mid last week so I haven't been sleeping very well - and definitely not last night!) - but thrilled because she's adorable and healthy as can be. She was born on 3/16, weighed 7lbs 8 oz and is 20" long. Waiting to hear from int'l adoption specialist - although not too much to go on so I'm pretty sure I'll accept soon. It's a very wild feeling - thrilling and yet surreal - I keep looking at her photo and thinking "Wow, is she really going to be my daughter??" My head is in a total (good) fog! Hope there's more good news out there and that everything moves quickly and smoothly for everyone (me too!).

Wow, you guys. Lotsa movement with everyone's cases!!! That's great!!!!
Linda -- I hope that you get out of PGN super soon!! I used to get my medical updates about 2 or 3 weeks even after Gabriel saw the pediatrician. Drove me absolutely nuts. Anyway, hope you get your update soon. I can't believe that you're already in PGN, almost out of PGN, etc. Wow. Kathy -- YAY!!!!! I'm so happy for you about your referral!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it the best feeling?????? YIPPPEEEE!!!!!!!! Rena -- CONGRATS on getting PA!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW. You're almost in PGN and she's only 3 months old. That's pretty good!!!!!!! Things here are good. As I posted thise weekend, Gabriel's a crawlin' kind of guy now. It is SO much fun to watch him!! It's so different now that he's really, really mobile. Before, he could bounce around and roll around and creep around, but now he really moves with determination and speed! Seems like he's also really developed a will of his own and a temper to go with it -- it's like he's blossomed recently and become more grown-up and multi-layered. I've actually had to say "no" to him recently and I can tell he understands the word. He doesn't always choose to listen to it, but I can tell he knows it. It's wild. Anyway, enough about me. I can't wait to hear more news from everyone! Gotta say that it's so exciting to see you all progressing through the process. ![]()
