Please help
Hello All, My husband and I have always planned on having 3 children, our son is now 20 months old. He was born in Kazakhstan. The process to adopt him was horrible because of our agency. So this time I would love to adopt two children at once. My only concern is how in the world will we come up with that kind of money? Can we adopt a toddler and an infant for around $50,000? For those of you who adopted two children at a time how did you fianance your adoptions? Adoption Loan? Refi Mortgage? Both? I am just concerned about being in debt forever. (not that the children wouldn't be worth it) Any advice or info would be great. |

We're adopting two sisters, 2 months old and 14 months old right now. It'll be around $50,000 so that's about right. Don't forget that you get two tax credits also! PM me if you have more questions. I'm actually going to Guatemala tomorrow (last minute!) so I won't be around til next week again.

I've found some agencies/attorneys are willing to cut you a break on the cost. This is usually especially true of boys. I know mine did and I appreciate it everyday!!!
I PMed you with the information on my sons.

I don't want to discourage you from Guatemala at all, but another option is Ethiopia. The cost is not doubled for two like it pretty much is for Guat. I looked into this quite a bit a couple of months ago and the cost for bringing home two from Ethiopia is less than it was to bring Azaleah home from Guat. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

I am adopting two siblings, and my agency and the Guatemala attorney reduced their costs and fees. I had not planned on adopting two children, but they have been very helpful, and it is working out without a lot of extra costs. I will pm you with more information.
