Question USCIS office Tampa FL timeline?

We are having our HS sent off monday to the Uscis office with our I600-a. I am wondering on the timeframe to get an appt for fingerprints? How long after appt did you get your approval? Thanks so much. Maria

we got a fingerprint appointment in 2 weeks and are still waiting on our I171H. when i called uscis (the week i turned in the homestudy) they said i should have it within 30 days. i hope that's true! our agency said it typically takes 6-8 weeks to get the I171H.

good luck!

We did this about a year ago, but at that time it took 2 or 3 weeks for our fingerprint appointment and maybe 3 months for our I171-H. Our I171-H was delayed beacuse our homestudy didn't specify that our house had a kitchen (!) and we had to amend the report. Otherwise, it probably would have been a few weeks quicker.

Be aware, the notice they mail you tells you that you will get your appointment in "no less than one year" or something crazy like that. That put me in a panic, but the wait wasn't bad at all.

Good luck,
Toni
